I thought it would be a huge time saver for me if I received an email message notifying me of playoff schedules and game time changes, and I could download those changes into my calendar as well.

Spocal, your sports calendar, announces special March Madness functionality in conjunction with the NCAA Basketball Tournament today. By going to Spocal March Madness anyone can see the game brackets, and by clicking on the "iCal" link next to each game, can put any game into their calendar with little effort.

Through an affiliation with the NCAA, website visitors will be able to watch any game of the tournament live by clicking the "watch live" link. Spocal aims to be a one-stop shop where sports fans can follow the schedules of their favorite teams.

By creating an account at the Spocal website, sports fans can choose to follow any of their favorite sports teams and be notified when their game schedule changes. "The idea for the website came to me when I got tired of entering games into my calendar by hand," said Deep Nasta, Spocal founder. "I thought it would be a huge time saver for me if I received an email message notifying me of playoff schedules and game time changes, and I could download those changes into my calendar as well."

In addition to the March Madness event, Spocal covers the schedules of the NHL, PGA, NASCAR, and the upcoming 2008 Major League Baseball schedule. As the schedules are announced for other professional sports leagues such as the NFL, and NCAA Football, they will be added.
