.....What could be better than to have the queen of pop performing on the world’s biggest stage?
Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) October 05, 2011
Sports website SB Nation recently disclosed that the pop icon Madonna will soon be closing a deal with the National Football League under which she would perform at Super Bowl XLVI during the halftime. One of the biggest sporting events, Super Bowl will next be taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on the 5th of February. While the news is already spreading, it’s still yet to be confirmed by the both parties.
Madonna’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg responded to the news through email stating, “No official statement can be given at this point as there is nothing to confirm as yet”. NFL is also tightlipped at the moment and refusing to confirm or reject the news.
It has been reported previously as well that the rock/pop diva was approached to perform at Super Bowl XXXIII that was scheduled to take place in Miami. However it fizzled out before a deal could be reached and later the halftime show featured Gloria Estefan, Bid Bad Voodoo Daddy and Stevie Wonder. Rumors resurfaced in 2001 at the time of Super Bowl XXXV and it was reported that Madonna backed out at the last moment. Super Bowl stage was then shared by Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Nelly and Mary J. Blige.
As the news does rounds again this year, CEO of 5W Public Relations, Ronn Torossian is of the opinion that there can’t be a better choice than Madonna. He said, “Madonna is a living legend. World hasn’t seen a pop star like her. She’s the biggest and the best. What could be better than to have the queen of pop performing on the world’s biggest stage?”
Though the confirmation is still awaited, tickets to Super Bowl 2012 have become the hottest commodity. According to Anastasia Lyman of TicketLuck.com the response is spectacular. She said, “The news of Madonna performing has created a great buzz and sales are touching the roof”.
Madonna earlier announced that she is working on some new music, so for the sake of her fans we hope they get to hear it live at the Super Bowl XLVI at the Lucas Oil Stadium.
Madonna is rightly titled as the “queen of pop” and her 11 studio albums along with 75 singles are a proof of that. In her ongoing stellar career she has won seven Grammy Awards and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Besides being a musician she is also a songwriter, actress, record and film producer as well as an author.
