SPORTSMITH the leading distributor of fitness equipment parts and personal training products announces why Health Clubs, Personal Trainers and Fitness Enthusiasts turn to SPORTSMITH for Anti-Burst Stability Balls.

Stability balls are easy-to-use, highly effective accessories for core conditioning, balance training and spinal stabilization as well as weight training and physical therapy. When shopping for Stability Balls AKA Fitness Balls the user must ask, is the ball "Anti-Burst".

Anti-Burst Stability Balls will not explode they deflate slowly. The slow deflation allows the user to react without suddenly falling to the floor.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled three million fitness balls on April 16th 2009 because they unexpectedly burst while in use, causing the user to fall to the floor.

Demonstration of the SPORTSMITH brand show the stability ball deflating slowly and safely with a weight of 270lbs applied to the ball when punctured.

Brad Schupp, SPORTSMITH President states, "Health Clubs, Personal Trainers and Fitness Enthusiasts trust the SPORTSMITH brand of Fitness Balls because the anti-burst safety feature won't leave them or their clients on the floor"

However, users should keep in mind the max weight limit of the ball when using dumbbells or additional weighted items while exercising on the ball.

There are three sizes of Anti-Burst Stability Balls and two ways to determine if the ball is properly inflated.

1.    55cm for users 5'0" - 5'6". Should measure 22" height from the floor to top of the ball -- when seated on the ball with feet flat on the floor, your knees should be bent at a 90-degree angle with hips at knee level and thighs parallel to the floor.

2.    65cm for users 5'7" - 5'11". Should measure 26" height from the floor to top of the ball -- when seated on the ball with feet flat on the floor, knees should be bent at a 90-degree angle with hips at knee level and thighs parallel to the floor.

3.    75cm for users 6'0" and taller. Should measure 30" height from the floor to top of the ball -- when seated on the ball with feet flat on the floor, knees should be bent at a 90-degree angle with hips at knee level and thighs parallel to the floor.
