Exclusive stockist of Dorspec architectural hardware for the UK and Ireland, Door Handles LTD have recently introduced a brand new range of square rose door handles. Traditionally there are two main types of handles, those that are on a back plate and those that are on a rose. Due the increasing popularity of round rose door handles in recent years there has also been an increasing demand for other rose styles, namely square.

Door Handles LTD have two very stylish square rose door handle designs. The Arcus Square Rose with a nickel brushed and polished chrome finish, which is priced at £16.99 per pair and the Incus Square Rose with nickel brushed and polished chrome finish, which is priced as £16.99 also.

The popularity of round rose door handles has really shot up in recent years due to the fact that some more modern designs have been released in this range rather than the traditional back plate door handle. The decline of the back plate handle in recent years may be linked to the fact that they no longer come fitted to doors as standard. In the past if somebody was to buy a door they would likely have some sort of handle fitted and it would be quite common that it would be fitted on a back plate. This is all very well having a handle fitted but the problem with a back plate is that it takes up quite a large surface area which means that if a person was to try to fit a round rose handle they would be unable to due to the fact that they have a much smaller surface area, which means that the holes from the screws from the back plate would still be visible. The solution to this problem was to simple buy another back plate design to cover the previous holes.

In recent years door manufacturers have become a lot more savy and have spotted the increasing trend in popularity of rose handles so rather than shoot themselves in the foot by selling a product that restricts the customer they no longer pre-fit their doors with back plate handles as standard anymore.
