We’re constantly pursuing ways to place our company on a level that’s above and beyond the competition. Engaging with 3rd party experts as was done with our recent SSAE 16 Type 2 examination is just one more example of that commitment.
Ann Arbor, Michigan (PRWEB) March 13, 2012
Nexcess, a Michigan-based provider of Enterprise-grade managed hosting services has announced the successful completion of their SSAE 16 Type 2 examination, within the scope of Data Center and Web Hosting Services. Conducted by BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc., the examination was completed following an official review period of August 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012.
As a company that places a large focus on e-commerce hosting services, the news of SSAE 16 compliant hosting should allow Nexcess’ clients to breathe an added sigh of relief. By engaging a qualified 3rd party CPA, site owners who utilize Nexcess services should be given additional assurance that the controls involved in their service, as well as other critical components of operation such as financial reporting, are verified to be in full compliance with the standards set forth by the AICPA.
“We take the safety and security of our clients’ web sites very seriously,” commented Chris Wells, President & CEO of Nexcess, “As such, we’re constantly pursuing ways to place our company on a level that’s above and beyond the competition. Engaging with 3rd party experts as was done with our recent SSAE 16 Type 2 examination is just one more example of that commitment.”
The Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 supersedes what will become an obsolete standard, better known through the data center space as SAS 70, and intends to align the United States with an international standard known as ISAE 3402. This standard can also be referred to as “SOC 1”, and is interchangeable with both SSAE 16 and ISAE 3402. For more information on this and related standards, visit http://ssae16.com/.
