St. Louis (Vocus) October 6, 2009
There's a new holiday tradition being added to St. Louis' social calendar this year. "Holiday Magic" comes to America's Center, December 4-6, and it promises to be a fantastic event for families and shoppers. In addition to a holiday village filled with vendors offering an assortment of holiday décor items, unique gifts and demonstrations by artisans and crafters, there will be a dazzling light show, full-scale carnival, live entertainment, and much more.
The Culinary Stage will feature hourly cooking demonstrations, chef competitions, and ice carving displays. It will also serve as the awards platform for the first annual Gingerbread House contest. Teams of students from Le Cordon Bleu will decorate and display gingerbread houses, and the winning house will be determined by votes from the general public.
Vendors and organizations from across the region will be on hand with a variety of items and services, including: Scentsy Wickless Candles; St. Clair Corporation; Prime Chimes; Arty Appetite; Cork Creations; The Merry Mixers; Kitchen Craft; Fire and Water Creations; Terra Cottage Ceramics; UCP Easter Seals Heartland; DressUpBoutique.com; The St. Louis Black Repertory Co.; Wide-Eyed Designs; Arbonne International; Sybil K.; Swirly Girls Design; and more.
Continuous live entertainment throughout the three-day expo will include: Christmas carolers; the Circus Harmony Performers; Soorya Performing Arts; Show Me Sound drumline; The Winter Muny Kids; Stories to Celebrate the Holidays; and many more family-friendly performances.
Event sponsors for Holiday Magic 2009 include: Amtrak; Edward Jones; Enterprise Leasing; Fitz's Root Beer; Le Cordon Bleu; Schlafly; Six Flags; St. Louis Blues; and St. Louis Cardinals.
