In five or ten minutes, while you're waiting at the dentist office or for your oil to be changed on your car, you can now help change the world by uploading your wisdom, observations, and stories right from your smart phone.

With more than 40,000 mobile visitors in the last six months, mostly by teens, college students, and teachers,, a free writing resource and digital literacy start-up, knew it was time to take its memoir blogging platform and release a mobile storytelling website to support its growing user base of smart phone users.

“For the last four years, we've quietly been building an active blogging community on our main website,” said Eric Thiegs, Stage of Life CEO and Founder, “but as that community, especially our high school bloggers, increasingly accessed our website with their mobile devices, we needed to make it easier for them to read and share their stories from their phone or iPad.”

The new Stage of Life mobile storytelling website can be accessed by visiting from any smart phone's web browser. A simple menu allows people to either read stories, share a story, or get mobile-friendly coupons and discounts from Stage of Life's proprietary coupon API fueled by the Stage of Life Merchant Network.

In designing the new storytelling mobile experience, Thiegs explained that the company took the Stage of Life website and boiled it down to its two most crucial missions – sharing stories and saving money.

“As one of the growing, free educational resources in the marketplace, we're here to engage, encourage, and excite more people to embrace real-life reading and writing via our memoir blogging format, and secondly, we want to help people save money throughout their lives too,” explained Thiegs.

The company hopes that in those moments when someone may play Temple Run, Angry Birds, or some other mobile game, people will instead consider sharing or reading a real-life story.

"In five or ten minutes, while you're waiting at the dentist office or for your oil to be changed on your car, you can now help change the world by uploading your wisdom, observations, and stories right from your phone," said Thiegs.

For people who would rather read than write, the "Read Stories" option contains thousands of essays from which to scroll through - all real life experiences or thoughts about the world from bloggers, teens, Baby Boomers and everyone else sharing their stories on from their computers or now, their smart phones too.

Registration is required by Stage of Life to upload a story from either a computer or mobile device. To read or share a story from your mobile device, visit from any smart phone's web browser.

# # # was founded in 2009 as a privately held company with a literacy mission to encourage the development of life-long readers and writers through its blogging community designed for all ages, from teens to Baby Boomers.
