Social travel planner Stay.com goes beta, releasing an interface that delivers a simplified experience to users who are seeking fresh ideas on city vacations. Stay.com opens a social platform, where users create and share personalized travel guides with family and friends, onsite, via email, and on Facebook or Twitter. The onsite experience is richer: peer-to-peer features enable users to ask for advice, give recommendations, and discuss travel experiences as well.

Stay.com launches with 50 world cities, and over 12,000 popular attractions, and. a selection of over 100,000 hotels. Users choose only the places and attractions they really like, and add them to their custom guides. Additionally, Stay.com integrates restaurant recommendations from some of the best travel providers in the world.

The end-result is a personal, compact, professional and aesthetic guide, that includes maps, and meaningful details about the selected attractions (like prices, operating hours, contacts, descriptions, and pictures). These guides can be saved onsite, accessed from any device with an Internet connection, downloaded as PDF, and printed on paper.

New features will be switched on after the public beta launch, and include; user added venues and places, third party sharing widgets, full mobile integration and geo-location engagement, video guides, and user feedback generated features. Best of all, Stay.com will always remain ad-free:
