One more day added atop an incredible Steamboat season means everyone has the opportunity to take a few more turns and make a few more memories to last until next season, while finishing the day listening to the lively tunes of the Young Dubliners.
Steamboat Springs, CO (PRWEB) March 22, 2007
With more than 300 inches of snow, Steamboat Springs has dynamite spring skiing and riding conditions and in celebration of this exceptional season, the Steamboat ski resort is throwing a special end of season party with a special twist: a free concert by one of Colorado's favorite bands, the Young Dubliners.
There's still time for visitors to experience Steamboat this season with a variety of winter vacation packages and lodging specials available from ResortQuest Steamboat Vacation Rentals, including the renowned Kids Ski and Rent Free packages.
The 2006/2007 season will be extended one extra day, with the closing day now set for Sunday, April 15th. The hard-rocking Irish-American quintet, The Young Dubliners, will put the finishing touches on a great season by closing the mountain in true musical harmony when they rock the base area with their special blend of Celtic music and roots rock driven by a fiery spirit. The concert will start at 3:00 p.m. in Gondola Square. All lifts will shut down at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15th for the season-end celebration.
"What better way to celebrate a fantastic end to a fantastic season than with the dynamic Irish melodies of Colorado favorites' the Young Dubliners," said Andy Wirth, vice president of sales and marketing at the resort. "One more day added atop an incredible Steamboat season means everyone has the opportunity to take a few more turns and make a few more memories to last until next season, while finishing the day listening to the lively tunes of the Young Dubliners."
In February, the Young Dubliners released their latest album, "With All Due Respect, The Irish Sessions," which is described by the band as "the best of the best," featuring a passionate tribute to the Irish song masters.
This season, Joseph Israel and the Jerusalem Band, North Mississippi All Stars and the Freddy Jones Band performed. Sister Hazel (March 17th), Big Head Todd & the Monsters (March 22nd) and now, The Young Dubliners (April 15th) are set to grace Steamboat with their high-energy, on-stage performances. During the 2007 Bud Light Rocks the Boat concert series, the nation's biggest bands hit Ski Town, U.S.A.® for a series of free concerts in the heart of Gondola Square.
