It will make you laugh, cry and hate what was done to our veterans. But, most of all it will give our new veterans hope for the future.

In 1968, at the age of 19, author Stephen Paul Campos served in combat during the most horrific times of the Vietnam War. In his new book “A-bout-FACE: FORWARD MARCH” (published by AuthorHouse) he chronicles the struggles he faced in combat and after he returned home from war.
Like many veterans of war, Campos is a survivor – not only of the physical peril of armed combat itself, but also of the psychological trauma suffered by so many who experience the horrors of war.
“Today’s headline news and our new veterans’ suicide rates from Iraq and Afghanistan trouble me,” Campos says. “I wanted to reach out using my own experiences with post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression and substance abuse to offer a message of hope! A message our new veterans need so desperately.”
Two decades after serving in combat, and on the verge of suicide and insanity, Campos had a spiritual awakening and was able to turn his life around. With the ongoing conflicts soldiers face around the world, Campos knows the need for his book is greater than ever. “It is raw, laid open, bare and truthful,” he says. “It will make you laugh, cry and hate what was done to our veterans. But, most of all it will give our new veterans hope for the future.”
