Atlanta-based Sterling Currency Group, the #1 dealer of Iraqi dinar, announced today that they have donated $5,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to help the victims of the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma.

We want to thank the Sterling Currency Group for their $5,000 donation to help Oklahomans who were impacted by the tornadoes on May 19 and 20

Sterling Currency Group believes strongly in giving back, and created their SCG Gives Back charity program for just that reason. Each month, the Atlanta-based currency dealer donates $5,000 to a worthy charity voted on by their customers at SCG Gives Back. The company has donated a total of $95,000 to worthy charities such as the Salvation Army, Hire Heroes USA, Save the Children, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Canine Assistants, the American Cancer Society, and the VA Hospital since the program’s inception in December 2011. For the month of June, Sterling made their $5,000 donation to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to help the victims of the recent tornadoes in that state.

“The tornadoes in Oklahoma were devastating,” says Sterling Chief Operating Officer Frank Bell, "and we, like most Americans, want to help the victims. After carefully considering all of the charities working in the area, we made the decision to donate our $5,000 for June to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma because we think a locally-based charity is in the best position to offer the assistance needed. They already have a presence in the community and will be there to help now and during the long recovery process. The victims of this terrible disaster are in our thoughts and prayers.”

"We want to thank the Sterling Currency Group for their $5,000 donation to help Oklahomans who were impacted by the tornadoes on May 19 and 20," said Rodney Bivens, executive director of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. "This donation will assist with our long-term relief efforts."

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is the state's largest hunger relief organization. The nonprofit provides enough food to feed more than 90,000 hungry Oklahomans each week through a network of more than 1,000 schools and charitable feeding programs in 53 central and western Oklahoma counties. Since its inception in 1980, the Regional Food Bank has distributed more than 480 million pounds of food to feed Oklahoma's hungry. For more information, visit http://www.regionalfoodbank.org.
