Apple’s innovations aid in students’ access to online courses

Without Steve's contributions to the industry, our students, most of whom are service members and veterans, would not be able to continue their education while juggling work and family responsibilities.

Grantham University is flying its flags at half-mast in honor of the late Steve Jobs who has contributed much to the field of technology. His pioneering spirit and innovations in the world of communications has provided our student body with simple, easy to use platforms that enhance their online educational experience.

“From Mac computers to the iPhone and iPad systems, his innovations are legendary,” said Joseph McGrath, president of Grantham University. “Without a doubt, we are a more connected world through these products, which have spurred growth in the world of technology, engineering and marketing.”

Jobs founded Apple in 1976, and over the last few decades, has grown the company into a lifestyle for many. In June 2009, Apple reported that there were 75 million users of Mac. With the explosion of products like the iPhone, that number is unquestionably much higher today.

Grantham University’s students rely on technology to access their online classrooms and keep in touch with their faculty and Student Advisors.

“Without the contributions that Steve has made to the industry, our students, most of whom are service members and veterans, would not be able to continue their education while juggling work and family responsibilities,” commented McGrath.

With Grantham University’s online degree programs, classes are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The University offers a variety of associate, bachelor and master’s online degrees. Its College of Engineering and Computer Sciences offers online degrees in areas such as Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Engineering Management, Information Technology and Information Systems Security.
