Digital Sports Group are today launching the PFA Player Profile of new England captain Steven Gerrard. DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.

It was today the turn of England’s new captain Steven Gerrard to see his official PFA Profile and his Steven Gerrard facebook page. The Liverpool midfielder was recently unveiled as the new England captain by manager Roy Hodgson ahead of Euro 2012 and supplied the cross for Joleon Lescott to score against France during the 1-1 draw on Monday.

Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say, “Gerrard will have no shortage of fans after a number of years as one of the star performers in the Premier League. Of course being England captain requires a certain level of respect and responsibility and he is sure to be a major hit with fans on Facebook.”

A recent article published on football.co.uk had this to say about Gerrard’s performance for his country against France. “Put in the cross that lead to England's goal. Another one who worked incredibly hard for the team and lead by example. 7/10.”

Digital Sports Group will provide further PFA player profiles for every professional footballer in England.
