The charitable arm of the company, StorageMart Gives, is launching “Draw My Favorite Teacher” as a way to support local educators. StorageMart explains,” We applaud the passion and dedication that teachers pour into our children and communities. We wanted to do something to honor our educators. ‘Draw My Favorite Teacher’ gives students a chance to say ‘Thank you’ to the teachers who’ve made a difference in their lives and an opportunity to win some great prizes for their school”, Sarah Little, Interactive Marketing Director.
Grand Prize will include:
- $500 check to the winning teacher
- A storage unit full of supplies for the school, including P.E., art, and music supplies. (approximately $3,000)
- The student whose drawing is chosen will win a pizza party for his/her class.
Three Runners Up will each receive a $100 check.
To enter, StorageMart provided schools with “Draw My Favorite Teacher” drawing pages. The coloring page is completed by students, and provides drawing space and a few lines for a short sentence about their teacher. StorageMart also supplied schools with a postage-paid box for return shipping.
The company will narrow down finalists to the top four drawings in Brooklyn, NY, to be published to the StorageMart Gives Facebook page. The grand prize winner will be selected by majority vote. The finalist with the most votes will be awarded the Grand Prize, and the three remaining finalists will receive the Runners Up prize. Voting will be open from November 5-18, 2012.
StorageMart will announce the winners on Monday, November 19, 2012. Prizes will be awarded the week of November 26, 2012.
