StorageMart announced today that it will give away five $1,000 scholarships. The StorageMart ScholarSmarts program is open to all students enrolled at any college, university, community college, or any institution of higher education in the U.S. or Canada. Applicants to the ScholarSmarts program may submit applications until July 15, 2011. Recipients will be announced on August 15, 2011.

What’s the best part of the ScholarSmarts program? “It’s simple. Any student can apply,” says Sarah Little, Internet Marketing and Social Media Director. “There’s no jumping through hoops. Everyone from single parents to adults returning college to high school seniors can apply.”

StorageMart has opened the scholarship in other ways. “The most exciting part is that the scholarship money can be used for any expense from tuition to child care, even your mortgage payment,” continued Little.

Applicants may apply for the $1,000 scholarship by writing a short essay on one of the following topics.

1.    How has staying organized attributed to success in your academic, professional or personal life?
2.    What link is there between a clutter-free workspace and increased productivity?
3.    How has self storage improved your lifestyle?
4.    What is the relationship between organizing your home and lowering stress levels?

Applicants can submit their essay at http://www.storage-mart.com/scholarship.

StorageMart can also be found on Facebook at StorageMart Gives, StorageMart Toronto and StorageMart Kansas City.

Five recipients will be chosen based on their outstanding essay covering any one of the topics listed. Winning essays will be chosen based on originality, innovation, and creativity. Applicants may be enrolled as full time or part time students. All candidates are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are open to all students, including but not limited to: graduating college seniors, adults returning to school, single parents going to school, military students, undergraduate students, graduate school students and more. Applications submitted after the July 15, 2011 deadline will not be considered for the August 15, 2011 scholarship award date, but may be considered for future scholarships.
