Conference Speaker Challenges Value of Gladwell's Blink for Strategic Planners

The conference takes place on February 24-46, 2008 in Marina Del Rey, California.

The Association for Strategic Planning (ASP) will feature Kevin J. Clancy, Ph.D., co-founder, chairman and CEO of Copernicus Marketing Consulting, and co-author of books including Counter-Intuitive Marketing, Marketing Myths That are Killing Business, and his latest titled Your Gut is Still Not Smarter Than Your Head, a contrarian view of the popular Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking, written by Malcolm Gladwell, as a keynote speaker at the ASP annual conference on February 24-26, 2008, in Marina Del Rey, California.

Dr. Clancy will address the problems of shrinking profit margins and chronically low rates of organic growth to an audience of corporate and non-profit executives, government personnel, strategy consultants and service providers, students and professors of strategic planning. Dr. Clancy is an outspoken advocate for a far more customer-centric approach to strategy development and argues forcefully against mainstream strategy and marketing practices.

The conference, "Strategic Planning & Action: Driving Growth from Change," features thought leaders including speakers from prestigious consulting firms such as Booz Allen Hamilton, Bain & Company, and Accenture.
