“We believe Stratford’s course provides students with a solid educational foundation into the study of forensic science.”
St. Albans, VT (PRWEB) February 7, 2010
Stratford Career Institute has recently updated their distance learning Forensic Science course by expanding the curriculum and adding more contemporary tools for learning about criminalistics and crime scene investigation.
Stratford first introduced the Forensic Science course in 2006 and has seen its popularity grow over the years.
“The career field likely gained momentum in conjunction with the popular television show CSI,” said Michael Boulay, Vice President of Student Services for Stratford Career Institute.
“In response to a growing number of requests for a course in forensic science, we promptly went to work. As a result, Stratford now provides students with a comprehensive introduction to this exciting career field,” he added.
Stratford’s Forensic Science career training course has been expanded to include the most up-to-date information available in the field. In addition to the basics of collecting and analyzing pattern, chemical, and biological evidence, students will now learn about the high-tech crime wave of the twenty-first century: computer crimes.
A new section of the course is also devoted to terrorism and detecting weapons of mass destruction. Students will now also receive two CD-ROM tutorials designed to give virtual first-hand experience in processing DNA evidence found at the scene of a crime.
“We believe Stratford’s course provides students with a solid educational foundation into the study of forensic science,” added Mr. Boulay.
