Pop is a six-time award winning magician and former Vice President of the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. His new book titled “Stories of a Street Performer; Memoirs of a Master Magician” is based on his 40 years of experience performing magic around the world.
As a performer, Pop's character is based on the late 19th century "con-men" or confidence men that were prevalent in early America. Pop Haydn said “In the book are decisions that I made and what I learned about life.” His warm style of performing mixes science, up close magic, comedy, and a bit of the eccentric creating a unique act that has influenced many magicians. Pop is widely recognized by his peers as a master of "prestidigitation" or sleight-of-hand magic, engaging his audience from a close distance using small props.
Pop will be doing a book signing at 2pm at the Mikazuki Publishing House booth at the West Hollywood Book Fair in West Hollywood Park on September 30th, 2012. Pop will also be doing a performance and book signing at the Book Frog bookstore at the Promenade on the Peninsula in affluent Rolling Hills on October 20th, 2012 at 2pm.
