La-Z-Boy Celebrates Opening Of 500th La-Z-Boy Comfort Studio

Grand Home Furnishings president George Cartledge III, CEO George B. Cartledge Jr. and executive vice president Robert Bennett celebrated the opening of the 500th La-Z-Boy Comfort Studio with several members of the La-Z-Boy family, including John Lucas, regional vice president, northeast; Greg White, senior vice president of sales and merchandising; Kurt Darrow, president and CEO; Jim Reilly, vice president of residential sales and Jeff Johnson, sales representative.

The 500th studio represents a major milestone for the Comfort Studio format and La-Z-Boy, and we’re happy to celebrate it with our partner, Grand Home Furnishings.

Demonstrating the value of commitment to quality, comfort and partnership, the company has recorded tremendous growth of its network of Comfort Studio stores in recent years. To commemorate this milestone accomplishment, La-Z-Boy honored Grand Home Furnishings, a long-time partner, at a ceremony during High Point Market.

Every La-Z-Boy Comfort Studio features between 3,000 and 9,000 square feet of retail space dedicated to the broad selection of La-Z-Boy furniture for the family room and living room, including the company’s world famous recliners, motion sofas, sleep sofas, sectionals and leather upholstery. Retailers across the U.S. and Canada customize the program according to their retail spaces, consumer demand and cost of entry.

Located at 1256 N. Eisenhower Dr., in Beckley, the new Grand Home Furnishings store features a 5,000 square-foot La-Z-Boy Comfort Studio dedicated to La-Z-Boy furniture. La-Z-Boy and Grand Home Furnishings have been partners for decades, and this opening is the 13th Comfort Studio to open within a Grand Home Furnishings store.
