We are pleased to be working with Strutta again on such an important program that allows Crate and Barrel to connect with an excited community of couples and voters.
Vancouver, BC (Vocus/PRWEB) February 08, 2011
Building on the success of the inaugural campaign last year, home furnishings retailer Crate and Barrel launched its second annual Ultimate Wedding contest, again choosing Strutta to develop and manage the contest site. The contest will provide one lucky couple with a dream wedding valued at over $100,000 and designed by celebrity wedding planner Yifat Oren.
Strutta’s contest API was used to develop an interactive promotional website that connects to Crate and Barrel’s gift registry. In order to enter, couples upload three photos, share three special things about themselves, and confirm their active Crate and Barrel registry. Couples are encouraged to get friends and family to vote for their submission as only the top 100 vote-getting entries are eligible for prizing. Everything is managed seamlessly with the Strutta contest platform.
“Crate and Barrel has developed a promotional concept that works well on multiple levels and we’re excited to provide the technology to make it possible,” says Strutta CEO Ben Pickering.
As the Ultimate Wedding contest enters its second year, both Crate and Barrel and Strutta have looked to enhance the customer experience in a number of ways, including increased emphasis on social media. Contest supporters may now login using Facebook, making it easier to cast a vote while helping protect against fraudulent voting. The contest site also integrates easy to use share tools that allow people to spread the word about the contest or their favorite entry through social networks including Facebook and Twitter.
Crate and Barrel Gift Registry Director Marjorie Daugherty says, “We are pleased to be working with Strutta again on such an important program that allows Crate and Barrel to connect with an excited community of couples and voters.”
The Crate and Barrel Ultimate Wedding contest launched February 1st and will be open for submissions through March 31, 2011, with voting open through April 30. The top 100 vote-getting entries will be named finalists and winners will be selected from the finalists by a panel of judges. Couples can enter by visiting http://www.crateandbarrel.com/ultimatewedding.
