Quality Planners, Inc. (http://www.qualityplanners.com), a national student planners company for primary school, elementary school, middle school, high school, college and special needs students, today announced it is supplying printed student planners and Plannee®, its new online planning software, to Paul Laurence Dunbar High School (http://www.pld.fcps.net), one of the largest schools in Kentucky with a reputation for excellence in academics, athletics, community service and the performing arts.

Quality Planners will be selling up to 200 copies of the software to students at the high school, supplemented by 600 printed versions, available separately or through the company’s bundling program. This program allows purchasers of the Plannee app to receive the printed planner for a reduced additional fee.

Dan Fischer, Publisher of Quality Planners, said, “Plannee provides the same standard of excellence Dunbar students expect and have become accustomed to in every aspect of their high school. The approval of our product by such a distinguished educational institution means a lot to our company, and we look forward to a long and productive relationship.”

The PTSA will serve as the conduit for the planner products and use them for fundraising so the school will benefit from the planners in two ways. They will develop the students’ time management and organizational skills, and the school will receive a new revenue flow for special events or its general fund.

Karen Irving, Treasurer and VP Ways and Means for the PTSA at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, said, “Time management and planning is critical for success in today’s society, as is the ability to integrate these skills digitally. That’s one reason why we decided to offer Plannee to our student body. We like how it is integrated with the way students communicate most, with their personal electronic devices. We are excited to see the response from our students to Plannee."

Plannee is compatible with iPhones, Android systems, iPads, laptops, PCs and Macs. Students can use it to help meet deadlines through email and pop-up reminders, and administrators can communicate instantly with students, using a green, paper-free solution by uploading an Excel or .ics file. The planners offer assistance with SAT preparation and advanced subject areas, and provide advice on completing long-term projects. Daily inspirational quotes are crafted to spur student motivation.

Web-based systems and apps for mobile phones are offered together at no extra charge. The set-up cost for Plannee will be waived for early licensees during the 2013-2014 school year.
