John Krish, General Manager of Travel Adventures, Inc. in Lapeer, MI recently assumed the position of President of the Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA®) at its annual conference in San Antonio, Texas. A major travel industry event, the SYTA conference attracted more than 1,000 student and youth travel professionals, including tour operators and suppliers from destinations throughout the United States, Canada, and around the world.

"Our organization continues to play a vital role on shaping tomorrow's leaders. According to a recently released report from the United Nations World Travel Organization, student and youth travel is recognized as the fastest growing segment of the travel industry. It represents more than $165 Billion in annual spending. This is a growing industry and one that can truly make a difference in the lives of the students and youth of the world. This association is the absolute best resource for anyone affiliated with the student and youth travel industry," said Mr. Krish.

As president Mr. Krish will provide leadership and direction for SYTA, a growing association whose mission is to promote and support integrity and professionalism among student and youth travel service providers. His years of experience in public education as well as the travel industry will be an asset for the over 800 members that the association represents.
