A Beautiful Smile at Lake Pointe has finished its Facebook campaign benefitting the Arc of Fort Bend County, a Houston-area nonprofit that helps people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
The Sugar Land dental office donated $1 to the Arc of Fort Bend County for every like the practice’s Facebook page got during the month of September.
The Arc of Fort Bend County provides direct services to families raising a child with intellectual or developmental disabilities and also provides support information and networking opportunities to form support groups.
A Beautiful Smile at Lake Pointe chose to partner with the Arc of Fort Bend County in part because of the organization’s educational services. The Arc of Fort Bend County provides families with a staff member educational advocate. The educational advocate ensures students receive Free and Appropriate Public Education in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Guidelines.
“The services the Arc of Fort Bend County provides are essential to our community,” said Dr. Lance Jue, the dentist behind A Beautiful Smile at Lake Pointe. “Without organizations like this one that provide living, educational and employment opportunities to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the people who need our help the most might not receive it.”
