The collection and analysis of performance data has become the rallying cry for school reform. Together, eSchoolPLUS and Mizuni Aspire Perform address this need by putting meaningful analysis at the fingertips of our nation’s educators.

A new alliance combines the benefits of SunGard K-12 Education’s eSchoolPLUS, a robust student information system, with Mizuni Aspire Perform, an innovative solution for analyzing student performance. Uniting the web-based products empowers educators to easily collect and monitor important student data. Together, the solutions can help classroom teachers, administrators, and members of boards of education to quickly act to improve student achievement.

A recognized industry leader, eSchoolPLUS is an intuitive, district-wide student information system for K-12 schools. The single system offers educational stakeholders—students, school administrators, district staff, teachers, parents, and board members—the ability to easily manage and immediately access the summary and detailed student information they need, when they need it. Easily configurable and simple to deploy, eSchoolPLUS is a cost-effective solution for managing myriad student information.

Newly released in 2012, Mizuni Aspire Perform helps school districts establish and monitor goals across key student performance indicators. Mizuni Aspire Perform employs an intuitive, web-based user interface enabling educators to monitor performance trends for each individual student while also providing analysis at the classroom, small learning community, grade, and school building level. The solution comes preloaded with numerous key indicators found useful by school districts across the country.

The seamless integration between eSchoolPLUS and Mizuni Aspire Perform can help educators quickly analyze key performance indicators—test scores, course grades, credits, attendance records, and discipline statistics—collected by SunGard K-12 Education’s student information system. This knowledge can be used to guide decision-making about individualized instruction, classroom curriculum, and district-wide programs, such as early warning systems, dropout prevention programs, and campus improvement plans.

According to Frank Lavelle, president and CEO of SunGard K-12 Education, the strategic alliance with Mizuni, Inc., is an example of SunGard’s commitment to providing school districts with software solutions that help shape our children’s futures. “Over the past two decades, the collection and analysis of performance data has become the rallying cry for school reform,” he says. “Together, eSchoolPLUS and Mizuni Aspire Perform address this need by putting meaningful analysis at the fingertips of our nation’s educators. Acting on this information can produce immediate and positive change in the classroom and can help result in students being better prepared to face the challenges of a 21st-century digital economy.”

Mizuni President Ignacio Ybarra agrees. “We are excited for our partnership with SunGard K-12 Education to deliver the Mizuni Aspire Perform solution to their customers,” he says. “With the alignment of our products and strategies, we provide a more complete solution to school districts, enabling teachers and administrators to better support student achievement.”
