New York, NY (PRWEB) October 10, 2012
Outten & Golden LLP, which focuses exclusively on representing employees, is pleased to announce that ten of its attorneys have been recognized as being among the top lawyers in four categories of the 2012 edition of New York Super Lawyers.
Partners Wayne N. Outten, Anne Golden, Laurence S. Moy, Kathleen Peratis, and Wendi S. Lazar were recognized for their work in the area of Employment & Labor. Partner Adam T. Klein was recognized for his work in the area of Employment Litigation for the Plaintiff.
In addition, Mr. Outten, the Firm’s co-founder and managing partner, was selected for the New York – Metro Top 100 for his exemplary work in employment law. Mr. Outten has been included in Super Lawyers every year since 2006.
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
This year’s Rising Stars include partners Carmelyn Malalis and Justin Swartz and senior associates Rachel Bien and Cara E. Greene. Mr. Swartz, Ms. Malalis, and Ms. Greene were recognized in the category of Employment & Labor, and Ms. Bien was recognized in the category of Employment Litigation for the Plaintiff.
The selection process for Rising Stars requires that the candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less; notably, no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers are named to the Rising Stars list.
“We believe that all our lawyers are stars or stars in the making, and it seems that Super Lawyers agrees,” said Ms. Lazar. "I am pleased and proud," said Mr. Outten, "that so many of our lawyers from various practice groups were recognized by Super Lawyers."
