What's in your product?
Portsmouth, NH / San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 2, 2009
Actio Corporation, the leading provider of SaaS solutions for supply chain materials information management and environmental compliance in manufacturing and distribution, is pleased to announce the launch of its new and improved web site. The upgraded and updated site is the result of thorough analysis, design, and positioning. The site can be viewed at http://www.actio.net.
For the media, the new positioning represents a keen opportunity to interview two expert executives in the manufacturing supply chain space. Both Actio founders have over ten years of experience road-testing software solutions in manufacturing plants and supply chains, using software to solve issues around environmental regulation and REACH, RoHS, and WEEE compliance.
Co-Founder Kal Kawar's 30 years of expertise began at IBM in the 1970's, as OSHA and EPA regulations started to take firmer hold on manufacturing. Kawar focuses on environmental regulation, chemical tracking and auditing protocol in today's environmentally regulated global supply chain networks. Kawar is a Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Industrial Hygenist (CIH) and enjoys speaking about the greening of the manufacturing industry.
Co-Founder and CEO Russell McCann has been a presence in Silicon Valley and the high tech industry since the mid-80's when he sold his first of two software companies to Adobe Systems. McCann's current endeavor with Actio is to bring software to the manufacturing industry, software that answers the question, "What's in your product?"
Both Kawar and McCann speak nationally at industry conferences and events, providing expertise on risk management in the manufacturing supply chain under REACH, RoHS, and WEEE. Both Kawar and McCann are available for press interviews.
For the new positioning and web site, Actio worked closely with Trainer Communications, the award-winning integrated marketing and high tech public relations firm headquartered in Silicon Valley, California. Together Actio and Trainer performed intensive market research, querying Actio's current customers in Actio's many vertical markets. The result is a web site that reflects Actio's supply chain materials information management strengths and their continuing commitment to making environmental compliance easy for manufacturers via SaaS - online, secure, platform-neutral- software.
"Working with Trainer was a fantastic experience," said Russ McCann, who has over 30-years of successful executive leadership in software and high technology. "Trainer brought a fusion of professionalism, design experience, industry savvy and passion, along with a top technical team."
"Trainer first interviewed the Actio management team to align expectations, experiences and opinions - they melded our vision information with customer feedback to synthesize our message and describe our unique product line to the world," said McCann.
"So now, on top of having a sleek, user-friendly web site," said McCann, "we also have corporate messaging that communicates the real value proposition of Actio solutions to our manufacturing and supply chain network audience."
"We are proud to partner with Actio on this very critical marketing initiative," said Ross Perich, VP at Trainer Communications. "We performed extensive strategic industry research to determine the specific target audience of Actio's message, and then used our proven messaging methodology to overhaul and refine Actio's positioning in the market. We honed in on a particular segment of the industry based on both market research validation as well as Trainer's almost-15 years of experience working with emerging technology companies.
"Actio is poised to achieve a new level of corporate success," Perich said. "They have proven products, domain expertise and excellent customer track record, and now they're bolstering their marketing to push the right message to their growing community. For Trainer, it's exciting to be part of a process where a company like Actio discovers and develops its external-facing persona. This is a communications company's dream, and moments like these are why we're in business."
The new web site's ambition is to provide site visitors with an informative experience as compelling as a first meeting with an actual Actio representative. The site is designed to complement Actio's enhanced, dynamic, and innovative product line and to pique browsers' interest about new innovation.
The updated site invigorates Actio's ten-year-old commitment to global regulatory compliance tools for the manufacturing enterprise. The site also emphasizes Actio's push into supply chain materials information management - managing parts-to-substance levels of material information to pinpoint potential areas of risk. The new site reflects that since October, 2007, with the announcement of Material Disclosure module, Actio has been successfully implementing supply chain materials management solutions for both up and downstream supply chain networks around the world.
Actio's upgraded site provides online visitors and members an easy, instant, and secure way to register for programs, access white papers and case studies, schedule a product demo, purchase products, join an online conversation of the latest trends in supply chains or just simply contact a real person at Actio for a conversation.
The site encourages visitors to pursue their areas of interest. Social media is encouraged on the homepage, so that visitors can share Actio news and information on sites like LinkedIn and Twitter.
