Subscriptions to the daily Newsletter brings all of the latest information from straight to readers’ inboxes.

The most recent Digital Newsletter has been published by Editor and lead blogger ‘Above Average’ Joe, and it includes interesting and informative articles on the day before Thanksgiving.

The featured piece helps the brave folks who will journey out in the wee hours of November 23, and try to find some good deals during Black Friday shopping.

“I wanted to specifically focus on Black Friday for this article as it is something that is a national event and not just localized to a single city,” wrote Joe in the article.

Joe advises readers to avoid confrontation, stay on the sidelines, and watch their footing while in crowds that could become restless. Among other tips, the article stresses the need to stay calm and keep your emotions in check, because “Riots happen when intense emotions boil to the surface and explode into violence. You stand a much better chance of surviving a riot by keeping your own emotions in check.”

In the Survival Tip of the Day article, Joe shares ideas on restocking a survival supply with the post-holiday sales of food and other items.

“Your typical grocery store only has enough food for 72 hours, if you are lucky enough to even get there in time before they shelves are picked bare. Don’t wait to start stocking up on storable food items,” said Joe in the article.

“Taking advantage of a store’s excess holiday inventory doesn’t have to be limited to food,” the article said. “Many paper goods and disposable dishware comes in a limited seasonal print that just doesn’t sell well outside a given holiday.”

There is a cornucopia of shopping ideas detailed in the Practical Prepper section, and Joe helps readers sort through the deals that he takes advantage of himself.

“I wanted to give you guys and gals a few of my personal favorite shopping sites, both online and brick and mortar stores, that will allow you to get those great presents for everyone in your family, all while staying safely out of the crowds,” said Joe in the article.

Articles like these are featured daily on, alongside content other prepper blogs, product reviews, e-book reviews, and a variety of topics on disaster preparation and survival. It is a non-politically biased source that is geared toward the survival side of prepping. Subscriptions to the daily Newsletter brings all of the latest information from straight to readers’ inboxes.
