The latest Newsletter has been released with articles by Editor ‘Above Average’ Joe.

As Joe and the team like to say, “It’s your life. Prepare to survive.”

The December 6, 2012 edition of the Newsletter has been released, and it just so happens to coincide with Editor and lead blogger ‘Above Average’ Joe’s birthday. In one of the articles, Joe shares a special birthday gift with his readers, and offers his e-book for free on Amazon.

The main article covers an incident in road rage recently experienced by Joe himself, and it got him thinking about the level of uneasiness that comes with any confrontation.

After a heated interaction with a raging roadster, Joe couldn’t even count on the police to do anything about it. He kept his cool, as he wrote in the article, and was able to avoid anything serious.

“If you are ever a victim of road rage, make sure that you learn from me, keep calm and stay in the car. You never know what that other person is capable of, and it's not worth finding out,” wrote Joe.

The Survival Tip of the Day article shares some valuable information on blister prevention, a serious issue that Joe thinks many people seem to ignore.

“Blisters are a nuisance at best during a normal day, but in a survival situation a blister can quickly cut off your most basic mode of transportation,” said the article.

Joe gives good advice on proper shoe and sock selection, and helps readers determine the best ways to keep their feet free of blisters.

The last portion of the Newsletter is the Practical Prepper article, in which Joe flips the tables on his readers and offers them a gift for his birthday.

“This year,” Joe wrote, “I felt that it was only right for me to give something back to you. You guys and gals have made it such a pleasure to run this site and I enjoy reading your comments and feedback.”

Articles like these are featured daily on, alongside content other prepper blogs, product reviews, e-book reviews, and a variety of topics on disaster preparation and survival. It is a non-politically biased source that is geared toward the survival side of prepping. Subscriptions to the daily Newsletter brings all of the latest information from straight to readers’ inboxes.

Whether readers need wilderness survival tips or strategies to plan for an urban disaster, covers it all. Well on its way to becoming a preeminent member of the survival blog-o-sphere, is contributing to the conversation and hopes readers do as well.

As Joe and the team like to say, “It’s your life. Prepare to survive.”
