Susanna will be speaking on Oct. 26th on the topic of how to get a book published and sold. Following Susanna's lecture, there will be a book signing for Susanna's most recent book, Be Your Own Decorator, Taking Confidence and Cues by the World's Leading Designers.

Susanna Salk grew up in Essex, Massachusetts and got her B.A. in English at Vassar College. She helped launch Elle Decor magazine as Interior Design Manager and later became a Contributing Editor there before ultimately going on to become Special Projects Editor at House and Garden magazine until its closing.
Today, Salk appears regularly on NBC’s “Today Show” to discuss design style for the home, as well as the on-camera host for Editor at Large. She is also a Contributing Editor to 1stdibs.com, and ivillage.com.
Salk is the author of Assouline’s “A Privileged Life, Celebrating WASP Style,” as well as “Weekend Retreats” and the bestselling “Room for Children: Stylish Spaces for Sleep and Play,” (both by Rizzoli.) She also collaborated on the book—“Home Sweet Home” (Rizzoli, Fall 2011) celebrating the international interiors shot by renowned photographer Oberto Gili.
Her latest book is, “Be Your Own Decorator: Taking Cues and Confidence from Today’s Leading Designers” (Rizzoli March, 2012) a design book aiming to inspire and inform via her favorite rooms from the world’s top designers and tastemakers.
Salk is currently working on the first pictorial book celebrating the iconic style of CZ Guest, the American author, columnist, horsewoman, fashion designer, muse and socialite.
Design Camp is a two-day seminar hosted and instructed by Celebrity Interior Designers Lori Dennis and Kelli Ellis, with special guests segments led by local and national industry experts in niche fields. The course is tailored for design professionals and design aficionados. Each day runs from 9AM-6PM and is broken down into 8 segments per day. Drinks, Snacks, Lunch, Spa breaks and Cocktail parties included. By the end of the course, attendees will have the confidence and ability to run successful modern-day design careers, execute magazine ready interior projects, take careers to an entirely new level, network and collaborate with local suppliers and colleagues, and receive a certificate of completion.
