This release brings all of the powerful features of NXTera to the SUSE platform. This includes: a Java middleware broker, enhanced tools for FORTRAN, COBOL and BASIC language development and SOA integration.

NXTera 6.1 server runs on and is certified on SUSE 11 and 12 as well as the latest versions of Redhat, Windows 2008, zOS (zLinux,) Solaris, AIX 6.1, HP-UX, and HP OpenVMS. In addition, NXTera supports both the IBM and Apache AXIS2 Web services application stacks.
NXTera 6.2, due this summer, will bring new C#, Java and SOA/Web services connectors for C, COBOL, FORTRAN and BASIC business logic. The generated code can be used to create SOA service interfaces to legacy business logic for use in enterprise, Web and mobile applications. NXTera is certified to work with the Nevatech Sentinet service virtualization platform to provide service audit, SLA, mediation, routing, advanced access control as well as integration with Microsoft AppFabric.
