Sustainable Food Development, Inc., based in Denver and headed by President & CEO Tim Amlaw, announced it has opened its initial round of private-investor funding.
This initial investment round totaling $525,000 will provide general working capital and is intended to support start-up costs for the production and marketing of Sustainable Food’s new private-label Pure Harvest™ Chicken frozen products, the commencement of a significant consumer food preference survey in China, incorporation costs for subsidiaries in Australia and Hong Kong, incorporation costs for a U.S.-based mobile grocery subsidiary, ongoing preparation of capital and operational budgets for all of Sustainable Food’s planned projects, plus general operating expenses.
Subsequent funding efforts will include the following:
- Sustainable Food will form an Australian subsidiary to finance development of a mobile beef-harvesting (slaughter) operation through a private placement in Australia. Sustainable Food will form a Hong Kong subsidiary to finance operations for the introduction of Pure Harvest™ Chicken into China and the company’s planned “China Dairy” embryo project. Sustainable Food has a commitment from an underwriter for the private placements and any subsequent initial public offerings.
- Sustainable Food will form a U.S. subsidiary to act as general partner of a limited partnership to finance the start-up costs for its Pure Harvest™ Mobile Grocery store project in conjunction with the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation in East St. Louis, Illinois.
