Holland Landing, ON, Canada (PRWEB) September 26, 2012
From November 14th to the 16th 2012 the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building will converge upon San Francisco CA. Initiated in 2002 Greenbuild International Conference & Expo is surpassing its 10th year as an annual event that welcomes tens of thousands of experts and professionals from within the building industry. The purpose of the event is to draw attention to the importance of incorporating sustainable initiatives into all aspects of building, including but not exclusive to design and implementation. While the event intends to educate those in attendance as well as introduce new green products, services, and technologies related to architectural developments it serves as a valuable networking opportunity between professionals that are looking to build relationships and connect with complementary businesses so that not only is there a sharing of ideas, but an actual exchange of sustainable products and services.
In 2011, the city of Toronto Ontario hosted the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo to great success. As expected the event and accompanying trade show displayed a variety of new sustainable alternatives in the building industry including Canadian made products such as Cross Laminated Timber, fiberglass free (no carcinogens) insulation, and incorporating low-voltage DC systems to make comprehensive LED lighting more doable (without rewiring a home). Every year since its inception Greenbuild International Conference & Expo and its attendees add to the growing list of products and services used in developing, constructing, outfitting, or repurposing a building to green standards. On the same token, Ontario’s own Turtle Bins green plastic moving box rental service provider considers its industry to also be a major part of the green movement in building and aftercare.
While Greenbuild concentrates on the building process, every aspect related to construction and real estate development is important to closing the circle on a completely sustainable building initiative, including storage and relocation practices of households and commercial businesses. Plastic moving bins replace the need for cardboard boxes used in storage and relocation. Where cardboard boxes are used in home or commercial business relocations, plastic moving bins can be substituted. This substitution reduces the cardboard waste which reduces the environmental impact. Joe Crupi, owner and operator of Turtle Bins comments “We continue to talk to builders, realtors, moving companies and everyone in the industry about the importance of recommending plastic moving box rentals to their associates, customers and clients. This environmentally friendly product is a perfect complement to any individual or organization involved in any part of the green building process. No matter the region, there will be a cardboard free storage alternative available and everyone should take the time to track it down.”
Joe Crupi and his sustainable moving box rental company will look to the 2012 Greenbuild International Conference & Expo for important developments in the global green initiative to identify how it may impact the industry and to see how Turtle Bins can increase its own existing efforts towards a greener future.
