Maintaining a clean reputation in today’s online world is difficult, especially when competitors come into the picture. Part of the reason why companies like Google and Yelp are so successful is because they work tirelessly to sift through the overwhelming amount of deception and fraud on the web to provide only valid information and reviews written by real customers. Swiss Wrist, an online used Rolex watch retailer, has had problems in the past from both ends of the spectrum- fraudulent complaints from competitors and disgruntled reviews by actual customers. Fortunately, the company was able to leave those comments behind with its transition into new ownership.
Austin Peterson took over as the new Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Wrist in February 2012 and with the implementation of his new management team was able to take the negative press head on. “Swiss Wrist complaints are a thing of the past,” says Peterson. “We needed to make changes in the way we handled both our customer service and our reputation management and we have. The impact is starting to be noticed.” Customers shouldn’t take this to mean that the company is going to alter their reasonable prices however. The core business model of Swiss Wrist – offering lower prices at a higher volume of sales- will remain the same, as well as the great selection of watches the company has to offer from the black Rolex submariner to Rolex watches for women as well.
Swiss Wrist has been investing in philanthropy and charity work too. The company recently chose to sponsor UCLA’s Impact 2012 contest for the Center for HIV Identification, Prevention, and Treatment Services, and is looking for other great causes to get behind. With Swiss Wrist’s new focus on corporate responsibility and fresh ownership, it’s safe to say the watch company is turning a new face toward the future.
