Shod With Peace Ministry International Announces Increased Shoe Donations

Shod With Peace Ministry International, a non-profit organization working to donate and deliver durable footwear to under-privileged kids and adults living in third world countries, is pleased to announce increased shoe donations over the past few years.

There are millions of children who have no shoes to protect their feet from disease, rocks, sticks and bug bites. It's heartwarming to see that the shoes we've provided in the past are handed down as the children grow, and we want to keep up with the need.

SWPMI (http://www.sandalministry.com) made the first delivery of 250 pairs of sandals to children in Honduras in 2003. Since then, thousands of kids' shoes and sandals have been delivered to needy children in Guatemala, Mexico, South Africa and the Middle East, as well as the United States. This month SWPMI will deliver sandals to an orphanage in Johannesburg, Africa. SWPMI has also recently received invitations to visit two other countries in Africa.

Working with a group of other international ministries and missionaries for delivery, SWPMI continues to expand its goal to provide footwear to children across the world. Founder Linda Bryant says, "We're always anxious for other volunteers to provide time and funds to facilitate that growth." Bryant continues, "There are millions of children who have no shoes to protect their feet from disease, rocks, sticks and bug bites. It's heartwarming to see that the shoes we've provided in the past are handed down as the children grow, and we want to keep up with the need."

About Shod With Peace Ministry International

SWPMI was organized for the purposes of obtaining, donating and delivering durable footwear to under-privileged children and adults living in third world countries and to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our goal is to provide footwear to alleviate diseases coming up through the feet and to protect feet from the elements; thereby helping people lead healthier, more productive lives.
