Swiss media company Ringier has successfully published the first issue of its international, multi-lingual magazine app "the collection". After a promising start of the launch issue "Prince William – The British Monarchy’s Great Hope" in Switzerland and Europe, the largest Swiss media company intends to reach a global audience for the collection, and in particular in the U.S. market.

Confirming its commitment to cutting edge innovative media, the Swiss media company Ringier has launched the collection, its first ever global magazine app. the collection is a single-themed appazine exclusively for the tablet computer. The launch issue, available exclusively in the App Store from every iPad, is dedicated to an event of outstanding interest and topicality: "Prince William - The British Monarchy’s Great Hope".

Introduced to Switzerland and Europe on April 12th 2011, this unique and topical in-depth tablet magazine series is already exciting and challenging international audiences. the collection was the first multi-lingual tablet magazine to be launched in English, German, and Mandarin.
