"Their efforts in developing the tools, processes and knowledge base necessary for Supply Chain transformation, and in promoting new approaches to supply chain enablement, have earned them a place on this year's Provider Pros listing."
Embarking on its 11th year, Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s ‘Pros to Know’ honors thought-leaders who are shaping the Supply Chain industry and advance Supply Chain as a respected discipline in the enterprise. The ‘Provider Pros to Know’ recognizes individuals from a software firm or service provider, consultancy or academia who have helped their Supply Chain clients or the Supply Chain community at large prepare to meet the significant challenges in the year ahead.
Satish brings more than 20 years of supply chain experience in development, vertical strategies, and project planning for Global 2000 companies. Satish co-founded EntComm in 1999, a provider of supply chain solutions that was acquired in 2009 by TAKE Solutions. He has been a passionate advocate of industry-specific supply chain networks that make it easier for suppliers of all sizes to connect with a range of customers. Furthermore, Satish has been evangelizing the need for industry-focused supplier networks in the energy industry for the last 10 years and has been behind successful implementations of supply chain network solutions at leading energy industry players like Enterprise Products and Baker Hughes.
TAKE customer Anthony Aming, business process instrumentation and supplier eProcurement manager of Enterprise Applications at Baker Hughes, was also honored in the ‘Practitioner Pros to Know’ category to improve business processes and collaboration efforts within the company’s supply chain to address challenges in 2011. The Practitioner Pros to Know is a listing of exceptional corporate executives at manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises who are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies' supply chains for the significant challenges in the year ahead.
Supply & Demand Chain Executive, which has created three separate sets of criteria for the Practitioner, Practitioner Team and the Provider Pros to Know, issued a call for Pros to Know nominations in November 2010. Beginning in January, the magazine's editorial selection committee culled through more than 350 submissions to find the applicants that best fit the criteria.
