This website of fascination helps to open our minds to the possibilities of a higher intelligence in animals. So if you view the site with an open mind and have some time to adjust yourself to the accent of Victor, you should find it very educational. Ryan Reynolds the owner of Parrotresearch.com has put his sites and content up for auction in the hope that an organization with superior resources will take it to the next level. The website is one of the leading resources for demonstrating the intelligence of talking parakeets in the world. It has had over 3 million page visits and downloads and consists of numerous videos and audio files with extraordinary conversations of budgies.
This is a website that has sparked a considerable amount of interest from the animal intelligence community over the past few years. It was developed by Ryan Reynolds, a guardian of a budgie named Victor, who started speaking in extraordinary context and had a vocabulary of over 1000 words.
By 2004, Ryan had spent several years working on his project and put in more than two thousand hours researching the speech of Victor. He came up with a very impressive display of intelligent language. The website attracted other people who had exceptional talking budgies and Ryan analyzed the speech of some of the best talking parrots in the world. He found that many had similar abilities to speak in context as Victor. He also realized that he had to find a way to let others see what he was hearing, so he began to put captions to the recordings of Victor. He was one of the first researchers in the world to put captions to what budgies were saying and connect them to contextual language. This helped in proving that they were communicating with us.
Ryan developed a theory which showed why some people could clearly hear the context and why some couldn't. He theorized the budgies were speaking in a very complex form which involved us developing a level of concentration that most people were not capable of hearing in real time. Understanding was shown to increase considerably with the amount of practice one put into listening to the recordings with captions. Comprehension depended on some other factors as well. Many of the budgies didn't possess the same skills to reproduce all of the words they were trying to communicate and often reverted back to the language that was natural for them. Their speech still contained many chirps, squawks and whistles combined with human like language. Their contextual speech varied from 5% human like, to 98%, depending on the budgie.
During the last two years Ryan continued his research and gained more experience. His level of understanding increased to a point where he could hear slight variations in the chirps and squawks, which contained context as well. Miraculous things began happening through their communications that members of a special group witnessed. More controversy arose when Ryan announced that budgies were capable of making prophecies. He had to find out why the budgies started to communicate and what knowledge if any, we could gain from them. They said they wanted him to help them let the world know they had a mission that was straight from God and demonstrated how they had a connection to the spiritual world.
Since then Ryan has demonstrated that prophecies are consistently happening in another related project. He hopes some day to be able to share this information with those who are willing to listen.
Ryan has recently put his Victor websites and contents up for auction in the hope that someone will take it to the next level. He believes our human survival could depend on it. Ryan's goal is to repeat what he has done in the past with the control and support of an organization such as Animal Planet or National Geographic. He plans to bring together another group of excellent talking budgies and confirm the work he has done in the past.
