The NBI seminar “Medicare “Super Lien” and Other Liens Simplified.” will provide the information you need to navigate those sometimes tricky issues while protecting your client’s rights and interests.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (PRWEB) February 19, 2014
Attorney Angelica Wawrzynek will be speaking at the “Medicare “Super Lien” and Other Liens Simplified.” seminar at the Four Points Hotel in Fairview Heights on Tuesday Feb. 25 and at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield on Feb. 26. The all-day seminar is being hosted by the National Business Institute for Continuing Legal Education for Professionals (NBI); the events and agenda at both locations are the same.
“Representing your client after an injury often requires you to address third party interests in your client’s recovery. Private insurance companies who paid any portion of the related medical bills, healthcare providers who have outstanding balances, and Medicare are just a few examples. Additionally, Medicare poses a unique set of problems when it becomes necessary to protect Medicare’s interest with regards to the cost of future medical care,” said Wawrzynek.

Attendees can look forward to receiving guidance on encouraging plaintiff/defense cooperation in lien compliance; understanding the differences between liens, subrogation and assignments; learning better communication skills and much more. Wawrzynek will host the morning session of the event, speaking on the topics of penalties and liabilities, subrogation rights, tips for negotiating and reducing the liens in the litigation process and an overview of the liens process.
Attorneys, insurance claims adjusters, case managers, life care planners, and disability and rehabilitation management specialists are encouraged to attend.
