I wasn’t sure it would be possible to take the serious content related to tax returns and turn it into something fun, but we’ve pulled it off.

“Fun” and “entertaining” aren’t words that often go along with tax preparation. Fast Forward Academy, however, is changing all that with its 15 Hour and 5 Hour IRS Requirement RTRP CPE packages.

Registered tax return preparers have to adhere to regulation, making it mandatory to complete annual continuing education requirements. These tax preparer requirements are made up of 15 hours of training including 3 hours of federal tax law updates, 10 hours of other federal tax law and 2 hours of ethics.

As much fun as all of that sounds, Fast Forward Academy—a leader in the area of RTRP continuing education—has worked hard to make getting these tax preparer requirements as light and entertaining as possible. The result is even better than they could have hoped for.

Matt McBride, Fast Forward Academy president, says, “I wasn’t sure it would be possible to take the serious content related to tax returns and turn it into something fun, but we’ve pulled it off. Tax return preparers love the content, which is presented in a story-like format including funny cartoons throughout. We are all very proud of what we’ve done with this package because there is nothing else like it anywhere in the world of taxes.”

All courses in the IRS 15 Hours RTRP CPE package are registered with the IRS, and, depending on their preferences, students can choose from the popular 15 Hour RTRP CPE Package, 5 Hour RTRP CPE Package, Free Hours program, a la carte CPE Course menu or an unlimited 2012 membership.

With the 15 Hour IRS RTRP CPE Package, tax return preparers can complete their 15 hours online at their own pace while having a laugh or two along the way. Content includes: Ethics & Tax Practice, Tax Preparer Ethics, Avoiding Disciplinary Actions for Circular 230 Violations, Federal Tax Law Update 2012, Tax Issues Related to Small Construction Contractors, Gliders, Geldings, and Gamblers: A Review of the Hobby Loss Rules, Reporting Foreign Income, Accounts, and Assets, Single - With Dependents, Accuracy & Continuity on Tax Returns, Marital Status and the Adoption Credit, Moving Expenses, and Gain on Sale of Main Home, Preparing Returns with Multiple Income Sources and Self-Employment, Something Old, Something New, Some Divorce Tax Issues for You, Whose Deduction is it Anyway?
