It is also crucial for those of us who conduct business on a strictly professional level to come together so that we can project a unified message not only to the public, but also to legislators to let them know that we mean business.

The Tax Problem Resolution Services Coalition (TPRSC) has been so successful in rallying to fairly regulate the tax debt relief industry that it is now in the midst of becoming a nationally recognized association that will be called the National Association of Tax Debt Resolution Companies. On Tuesday, March 20, at 1:30 p.m. EDT (10:30 a.m. PDT), the TPRSC will hold a webinar to address the requirements and process for candidates for the association’s board of supervisors, and the inaugural meeting of the NATDRC will take place in Washington, D.C., on the weekend of May 20-21, and will offer attendees a chance to learn about the new challenges for the industry and public policy options while helping to create a unique voice for tax debt resolution businesses.
In 2010, Michael Rozbruch, the founder and CEO of Tax Resolution Services, Co., (TRS) – the nation’s foremost tax debt relief, mediation, and negotiation firm – identified an overwhelming need for clarity amidst significant confusion in his field. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) was pushing hard for unnecessarily strict regulations on the tax debt relief industry after numerous people had complained publicly about being swindled by delinquent companies who were attempting to take advantage of American taxpayers who sought help in their negotiations with the IRS. Rozbruch, a 30-year veteran in the tax field, including 14 years at the helm of TRS, was at the core of a group of aboveboard, credible and legitimate tax professionals who started the Tax Problem Resolution Services Coalition to address the issue. The coalition has so far successfully drawn the line in the sand by drafting proposed federal and state legislation to root out the unscrupulous companies while allowing the legitimate ones to continue doing business without unnecessarily strict regulation.
“It’s time for us to really make our voices heard and let people know what we’re all about,” said Rozbruch. “It is also crucial for those of us who conduct business on a strictly professional level to come together so that we can project a unified message not only to the public, but also to legislators to let them know that we mean business.”
