Ensuring students have access to as many learning tools as possible is a long-standing principal of our school and the reason why our student pass rates are consistently high.
Portland, OR (PRWEB) April 26, 2011
Pacific Northwest Tax School, a leader in online tax education programs has announced the release of its Spring CPE Series webinar schedule. More than twenty courses providing 84 hours of CPE will be offered beginning May 3. The School's webinar format meets the standards of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and is qualifying CPE for CPAs, Enrolled Agents and other tax practitioners.
The school's webinar format provides an interactive learning environment where students can see, hear and interact with instructor April Gutierrez, E.A., L.T.C, and fellow students using real-time chat features.
Webinar students receive ongoing support from the school before and after each webinar through the school's online LMS (learning management system). Through the LMS, students can access course manuals, complete course assignments and interact with course instructors via Q&A forums. "Interactivity can be the key to successful learning for many," said School Administrator Leonard Mitchell, CPA. "Ensuring students have access to as many learning tools as possible is a long-standing principal of our school and the reason why our student pass rates are consistently high."
The 2011 Spring CPE Series is designed to allow tax professionals the option of enrolling in individual courses that focus on targeted areas of tax law, or enrolling in the entire series for a discounted price. "CPAs and Enrolled Agents often prefer to meet their annual CPE requirements by selecting specific courses such as 'Filing Status & Dependents', 'Understanding the Alternative Minimum Tax', or 'IRS Ethics Rules Governing CPAs, EAs and Registered Tax Preparers,'" said Mitchell. "However, enrollment in the complete 1040 Tax Pro Exam Prep Series offers an extended study opportunity for practitioners who are preparing for state or IRS competency exams."
In an historic first, the IRS will begin to administer tax preparer competency exams later this year. While IRS testing is a new phenomenon, Pacific Northwest Tax School has a strong history of successfully preparing students for government administered competency exams. The School was formed in 2001 to address the chronic shortage of licensed tax preparers in the State of Oregon by providing high-quality tax education programs. Oregon has imposed testing and licensing requirements on paid tax preparers since 1973. The School's intensive tax education programs have a proven record of helping students prepare for and pass Oregon's tax preparer examinations with over 90% of students successfully passing on their first attempt.
Pacific Northwest Tax School is dedicated to delivering beginner and advanced tax education courses that provide students with the knowledge needed for delivering competent tax preparation services and building clientele in the competitive tax preparation industry.
