Israel, The Bible Comes to Life

The port of Akko is one of the ancient cities in Israel.

“Now when I read the scriptures, the places and events leap off the page, bringing the account to life. There is nothing that compares to the feeling!” Jackie Lee said.

Two women from the Greater Cincinnati area have been selected to work with The Bible Comes To Life Travel and Education Center (TBCTL) based in Israel. Part of the Tlalim Group, TBCTL brings thousands of people to Israel each year. This Travel and Education Center has a strong online presence where Bible students, pastors or interested parties can learn how Israel history and archeology proves the authenticity of our modern-day Bible.

Jackie Lee is a technical writer, editor, and communications specialist who has spent most of her career in the financial industry. She serves alongside her husband in teaching and leadership ministry areas; however, it is her love for God’s Word that drives her passion for the land of Israel.

Patricia Stirnkorb, writer and photographer, has traveled and written about a number of places, both in the USA and overseas. Her work has appeared in hundreds of national and regional publications. Her passion for Israel comes from her dedication to educating the public about the land which was selected for God’s chosen people.

The two have visited Israel in the past and have fallen in love with the country and the amazing history of it. “Until you research Israel, you don’t realize how exceptional the country and its history actually are,” said Stirnkorb. She visited Israel in 2012 and has a trip planned for May, 2017. “With six climate zones (growing zones), Israel grows and produces 95% of all the food they consume. They export a large amount as well.”

Omer Eshel, CEO of TBCTL, met Stirnkorb when he was the Consul for the Government of Israel, Ministry of Tourism. After leaving the government position, Eshel joined the Tlalim Group and started TBCTL. Tlalim is the oldest and largest travel group in Israel, having been in business more than 35 years.

The two ladies will be working together. They speak, share information, meet with churches, groups, organizations and individuals who have the desire to travel to Israel. Many people think that a trip to Israel is only for a religious person. But the history and archeology are profound. Taking a trip to Israel is life-changing regardless of the reason you travel there.

For Jackie Lee, the spiritual connection has been a tremendous help in her own Bible studies and teaching. “Now when I read the scriptures, the places and events leap off the page, bringing the account to life. There is nothing that compares to the feeling!” Lee said.

The Bible Comes to Life Travel and Education Center is not a typical travel center. The object is to introduce people to Israel and the history of it and educate them to the amazing country. Although they are located in Cincinnati, they will be working with groups from all across the country.
