Free Online Dramatization, The Teacher Movie, Helps Teachers

Start the school year with a positive attitude, ready to empower at-risk children for life.

Newton, NH (PRWEB) September 28, 2006 -- Everyone has heard stories of how influential teachers can be, inspiring troubled children and teens to achieve success and happiness. But amid the daily bustle of classroom routine, difficult children and overcrowded classrooms, it’s all too easy for teachers to lose sight of their commitment to making a difference in the life of every child. A new online movie, The Teacher Movie, available free online at www.teachermovie.com, combats this forgetfulness by dramatizing the story of fifth-grade teacher Mrs. Thompson, who gradually awakens to the urgency of Teddy Stoddard’s sad home situation and turns his young life around completely with her kind attention.

“While Teddy Stoddard is a fictional creation, he’s like thousands of at-risk children I have encountered who were being ignored and further damaged by the educational system,” says Mary Reynolds, co-creator of The Teacher Movie, who taught and counseled for more than 15 years in Nebraska, Wyoming and Oregon before becoming a motivational speaker and MasterMind coach. “Subsequently, through years of scientific and spiritual study, I began to understand why what I did worked with children, every time. Teddy Stoddard’s story illustrates what happens when a teacher stops judging and starts connecting.

“Initial responses to our movie indicate that by touching the heart through words, music and images, it has the power to invigorate educators, teachers, helping professionals and parents to heal wounded children, one at a time,” Reynolds adds. “Any teacher, any aide, any guidance counselor can become a turnaround specialist and break the cycle of failure.”

The Teacher Movie by Mary & Craig Reynolds, with music and story by Charles Suniga can be viewed online free at www.teachermovie.com. A high-resolution DVD version of the movie is included with a one-hour teacher training kit and ebooks for teachers, Makin’ Magic: Increasing Emotional Energy with At-Risk Youth, which retails for $99 through www.healingtodayschildren.com.

Mary Reynolds is available for interviews nationwide, by calling 1-800-639-8191.
