Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) executives will be “Climbing for Cleanup” to help the victims of the BP oil spill. Chairman & CEO Jamie Maguire, along with Co-Presidents Chris Maguire and Sean Sweeney, are competing in the Leadville Trail 100 Mountain Bike Race to raise money for the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans Oil Spill Relief Fund.

TeamPHLY is calling on its fans and partners to visit and make a donation to support the people impacted by the oil spill catastrophe along the Gulf Coast. The team of executives will compete on August 14 in the Leadville Trail 100, one of the toughest bike races in the world, to help raise money for people impacted by the oil spill. The race in Leadville, CO includes 14,000 feet of climbing over 100 miles of majestic mountains and valleys.

Through these eco-friendly practices, Philadelphia Insurance Companies is pledging to reduce the carbon footprint of our home office by 5% in 12 months. Current initiatives include reducing our electric and paper use, streamlining office recycling, and using more green-friendly items like cleaning products, energy efficient lighting and other recycled materials. PHLY and its employees will also be joining together to help support the people impacted by the spill along the Gulf Coast.
