CyberGlove Systems and SenseGraphics Partner to Improve 3D Software
CyberGlove Systems and SenseGraphics announced a strategic partnership to develop new software that will allow customers to better integrate and utilize the CyberGlove family of data glove products. The improvements will provide customers with another option to develop custom applications aside from the company's VirtualHand Software Development Kit (SDK). In addition, customers already using SenseGraphics' H3D API will be able to use the CyberGlove family of data glove products.
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) June 17, 2009 -- CyberGlove Systems and SenseGraphics announced a strategic partnership to develop new software that will allow customers to better integrate and utilize the CyberGlove family of data glove products. The improvements will provide customers with another option to develop custom applications aside from the company's VirtualHand Software Development Kit (SDK). In addition, customers already using SenseGraphics' H3D API will be able to use the CyberGlove family of data glove products.
CyberGlove Systems LLC is the leader in hand-centric products for real-time motion capture of finger and hand movements as well as whole-arm force-feedback and haptic solutions. CyberGlove Systems was spun out of Immersion Corporation in March 2009. SenseGraphics is the leader in open-source haptics software that provides a platform for integrating multi-sensory 3D devices and applications.
The strategic partnership is aimed at improving the software and support of SenseGraphics' flagship software, H3D API, with the CyberGlove Systems' data glove products. For example, this partnership will make available new tools for developers to create 3D interactive environments for haptic-enabled VR software solutions. "We are excited to work with SenseGraphics. This partnership will improve both of our product's industry applications, especially in the field of medical surgery integrating haptic feedback", said the CEO of CyberGlove Systems, Faisal Yazadi.
As part of the partnership, SenseGraphics is authorized to resell the CyberGlove family of products in Sweden. CyberGlove Systems' products include four types of data gloves: the CyberGlove® (wireless or wired 18- or 22-sensor data glove), the CyberTouch™ (data glove with vibro-tactile feedback), the CyberGrasp™ (data glove with whole-hand haptic feedback), and the CyberForce® (data glove with whole-arm and whole-hand haptic feedback). The reseller partnership will allow for the continued growth of CyberGlove Systems global distribution and improved access of its technology to customers in Sweden.
