LAS VEGAS (PRWEB) March 27, 2008
Tecton is led by a team with a broad range of experience in exploration, mining finance and corporate development with a proven track record. They are well-funded and were recently listed on the Nasdaq OTC BB through an SB-2 registration.
Tecton currently holds two uranium projects in their property portfolio: Wapata Lake and Firefly. Wapata Lake is located in the Athabasca basin; the property consists of 633,192 acres. The Athabasca basin has been home to some of the richest uranium deposits in the world and covers an area of some 100,000 miles. Since 1968, 18 deposits totaling over 1.4 billion pounds of uranium have been discovered in the region. The Company plans to advance this project by way of a joint venture and is presently conducting a search for an appropriate partner.
The Firefly Project is situated in south central Utah in the center of the La Sal mineral trend. The property is comprised of 213 unpatented mining claims. Future plans for Firefly include advancing the project to a 43-101 compliant standard as well as initiation of an aggressive three to four year exploration program so as to properly exploit Firefly's real potential as a future uranium producer. The focus of this exploration will be the extension of the proven La Sal uranium trend, both in a westerly and easterly direction.
Nuclear power has become broadly recognized as a clean way of generating electricity, a perception reinforced by the 96 nuclear power plants either under construction or in the permitting phase world wide. It is Tecton Corporation's belief that with a strengthening demand for uranium, the price of uranium will return to recent highs. Tecton is looking to acquire additional uranium projects with strong technical merit, to maximize long term share holder value by ensuring both a strong cash flow and the Companies' longevity.
