The St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Reading Garden Event Series presents a special night for teen fans of science fiction and fantasy. Antony John, Lenore Applehans, Tamara Ireland Stone and Lauren Oliver will read and discuss recent work on Tuesday, April 30, 7:00 p.m. at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Copies of the authors’ books will be for sale at the event from Left Bank Books. A question-and-answer forum and book signing will follow the program. The program is free and open to the public.
St. Louis author Antony John is the author of the teen hits “Five Flavors of Dumb” and “Thou Shalt Road Trip.” His new book, the first in a trilogy, is a post-apocalyptic tale of a small band of survivors who must use supernatural powers to fend off ruthless pirates.
In Lenore Applehans’ gripping exploration of a futuristic afterlife, “Level 2,” a teen discovers that death is just the beginning and finds herself at the center of an age-old struggle between good and evil.
Debut author Tamara Ireland Stone presents “Time Between Us,” a time-bending romance set in 1995 and featuring a brave young couple daring fate and the powers of the universe to be together.
Lauren Oliver is the New York Times and internationally bestselling writer of “Before I Fall” and the Delirium trilogy, a riveting blend of nonstop action and forbidden romance in a dystopian United States. Lauren will discuss the exciting third installment, “Requiem,” in which Lena finds herself in the middle of revolution.
