Sonus PR, the telecoms PR specialist consultancy, today announced that it has won the brief to launch lastminute.com's new talking foreign phrasebooks for mobile phones. The brief is to promote the launch of the applications and to drive uptake by targeting European mobile operator and consumer media.
Sonus PR will work with developers CoolGorilla on the launch of the lastminute.com talking mobile phrase books, which speak foreign language phrases through the mobile phone speaker. The CoolGorilla account will be led by Sonus PR Managing Director Martin Smith who will deal directly with Roy Forsdick of CoolGorilla.
The new talking phrasebooks are simple to use - users navigate to the appropriate phrase and press select, the phone then speaks the phrase in the foreign language and shows the written translation. The phrasebooks come in six foreign languages: French, Spanish, German, Greek, Italian and Portuguese, each containing between 250-300 sound files covering a variety of subjects including Eating, Travel and Flirting. Later this year phrase books translating from one non-English language to another, for example French to Italian, will be available.
