ICUcare LLC’s eDoc® Telemedicine/EHR has achieved 2011/2012 COMPLETE EHR ONC-ATCB Certification, which designates that the software is capable of supporting providers with Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). eDoc® Telemedicine/EHR received its official certification on March 27 from the ONC-ATCB Electronic Health Record program and is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

ICUcare LLC is the first Telemedicine Solution Provider to have achieved certification for Meaningful Use in connection with: Medicare EHR Incentive Program; Medicaid EHR Incentive Program; Physicians Quality Reporting Program (PQRS)

The Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program provides incentive payments to eligible professionals, eligible hospitals, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) that successfully demonstrate meaningful use of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology (CEHRT). Eligible Professionals who purchase and demonstrate meaningful use of Certified EHR technology under the Medicare Program can receive up to $39,000. Eligible Professionals who purchase and demonstrate meaningful use of Certified EHR technology under the Medicaid Program can receive $63,750.

Additionally, individual eligible professionals who meet the criteria for satisfactory submission of Physician Quality Reporting quality measures data through use of Certified EHR technology as per CMS guidelines will qualify to earn a Physician Quality Reporting incentive payment equal to 0.5% of their total estimated Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) allowed charges for covered professional services furnished during that same reporting period.

Lastly, the Medicare Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program authorized under the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA), provides incentives for eligible professionals who demonstrate meaningful use of either a Qualified eRx System or Certified EHR technology in electronic prescribing an incentive equal to 0.5% of total allowed charges for professional services covered by the Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule during 2013.

About ONC Certification

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHR technology is capable of meeting the 2011/2012 criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The certifications include Complete EHRs, which meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology and EHR Modules, which meet one or more — but not all — of the criteria.
