On Wednesday, June 27th Vh1 will premiere 'Hollywood Exes', a docu-series that will follow five women who are part of a very unique group; ex-wives of high profile A-list celebrities.

RealityAired.com's Lisa Irizarry recently spoke exclusively to Mayte Garcia, one of the stars of 'Hollywood Exes', who was married to superstar music artist Prince. In addition to describing her relationship with Prince Mayte shared her path to reality TV and how her life changed after divorcing the famous musician.

Mayte hopes to dispel rumors about what it's like to be married to a famous A-list celebrity, telling RealityAired.com "people think we’re gold diggers, materialistic…shallow. We’re actually really cool chicks.

Mayte also shared the drastic change her life took after divorcing Prince: "I went from five-star hotels, presidential suites and first class, to a New York apartment by myself with no driver, no security…"
